Butternut Cottage - It is incredibly charming, and there are a lot of interesting touches that were supposedly added by Bette Davis herself. There is a unique collection of Davis' VCRs for viewing (the technology is older but works fine) and a good collection of books about Davis' life. The main fireplace really looks like the one in the photo. Very clean and quiet. We saw a woodchuck, turkeys, and other critters. Cannon is not visible from the house, but it is close by and visible from the road below. For a great breakfast, Polly's Pancakes is only 2 miles away.

Excellent Romantic Weekend Spot Streeter Pond is the perfect setting for a quiet, romantic weekend away. My boyfriend and I took full advantage of the living room's wood burning stove, loved the large open kitchen and you can't beat the gorgeous lake views. The house was clean, spacious, set away from the street and just a short drive to many ski mountains, antique shoppes and the absolutely fantastic Polly's Pancake Parlor (DO visit. Call ahead service is available, but know it is closed during the winter.) We loved working with the owners as they were very communicative and accommodating and look forward to a return visit soon.

I just wanted to say how highly I think of Steve Gorman. He is extremely competent, very professional, energetic, a pleasure to work with, and did a great job on our rental – finding great tenants that really fit, and a very smooth execution of everything from the lease itself, financial and background checks and all the logistical details. All put together, it is really solid service for a remote landlord such as ourselves.
